[Thursday, August 6, 2026] Samkwang Co., Ltd.’s Vietnam Division conducted on-site training on production and automation technologies for students from Sungkyunkwan University. This visit was organized to allow participants to observe Samkwang’s automated production systems and the manufacturing processes for injection-molded plastic products firsthand, thereby deepening their understanding of related technologies and manufacturing operations. The event was attended by one Samsung purchasing group leader, one Sungkyunkwan University professor, and 17 Sungkyunkwan University students. Samkwang welcomed the visiting delegation with a presentation on the company and its key production processes, led by Branch Manager Song Jong-deuk, Executive Director Han Dong-kwon, and team leaders from various departments. The tour began with an introduction to the company and proceeded in the following order: assembly and injection molding in Building A; jig mounting in the painting department of Building B; antenna and CAM DECO assembly in Building C; CNC machining; and the procurement warehouse. While touring each production site, the students observed Samkwang’s automated production systems and equipment operations, and received explanations regarding the production processes, application areas, and technical characteristics of key injection-molded plastic products. Through this visit, the students had the opportunity to directly observe real manufacturing sites—which are difficult to experience in a school setting—and broaden their understanding of production processes. Samkwang plans to continue enhancing understanding of manufacturing and automation technologies through exchanges between industrial sites and educational institutions, and to provide ongoing opportunities for hands-on field training.
