[Wednesday, July 1, 2026] On Wednesday, July 1, 2026, the July 2026 monthly meeting was held.

At the executive appointment ceremony, Dongcheol Seong, Director of the Technology Research Institute, and Seongwoo  Lee, Head of the AD Business Division at the India subsidiary, received their appointment certificates. Director Dongcheol Seong stated, “Going forward, the Research Institute will focus on three key areas. 

First, we will concentrate on our role in shaping future businesses. 

Second, we will strive to be a research institute that communicates closely and collaborates with various internal organizations.

Third, we will create a vibrant research institute capable of engaging with other organizations.

To achieve this, I ask for your constructive criticism, advice, and generous support. Thank you.” Business Division Head Seongwoo Lee added, “I believe the automotive industry within the India Business Division represents a new beginning and a significant opportunity for Samkwang. I will do my utmost to contribute to Samkwang’s automotive business vision by fully leveraging my experience and knowledge in the automotive sector.

For the Improvement Proposal Award, Hyungjun Lee of the Global AI Innovation Team was selected for his contributions to improving productivity through the implementation of an AI system.

At the mentor-mentee pairing ceremony, one mentee was presented with a business card case and a “Smile” badge.

In his monthly address, CEO Jinwoo Kim stated, “AI goes beyond being a mere tool; it is a critical capability that we must utilize and develop in the future.

It is not that AI will eliminate jobs; rather, what matters most is how well we utilize and develop AI. Ultimately, planning, applying, and translating AI into results are tasks that only humans can perform.

I hope you will all take a greater interest in AI and approach it with a mindset of actively learning and applying new technologies.

The company is currently pursuing various new business initiatives to respond to the changing market environment. When new business opportunities arise in the future, we will need the talent and capabilities to turn those opportunities into tangible results.

I encourage each of you not to rest on your laurels, but to study the areas where you may be lacking and work on your personal development. The company will also actively support you in whatever you need.
