Samkwang Co., Ltd. conducted special safety inspections and safety training for “small cranes weighing less than 2 metric tons (T).”

This inspection was carried out to eliminate potential hazards that may arise during the handling and transport of heavy loads on-site and to ensure worker safety.

The inspection was carried out in collaboration with the Korea Industrial Safety Association. A total of 10 small cranes (6 from Samkwang and 4 from Samkwang WinTech) were thoroughly inspected, focusing on key safety-related items such as the condition of the crane’s drive system, the wear on wire ropes and hooks, and the functionality of the brakes.

In addition, special safety training on small cranes was provided to on-site supervisors and workers. The training focused on the proper use of cranes, daily inspection methods, and the types and functions of key safety devices, enabling on-site workers to identify potential hazards early and enhance their safety awareness.

Based on the results of this inspection and training, the company plans to further enhance on-site safety and will sequentially carry out repairs and replacements of aging equipment and parts in the future.

Moving forward, Samkwang Co., Ltd. will continue to do its utmost to identify potential hazards and improve facilities in order to create a safe working environment and achieve zero serious accidents.
