On Wednesday, April 1, 2026, the April 2026 monthly meeting was held.

Yangtae Kim, a member of the Injection Molding Team in the Manufacturing Division of the Vietnam Business Unit, was selected as the Outstanding Employee for his contributions to improving productivity through the enhancement of automatic packaging machines.

At the mentor-mentee pairing ceremony, a total of three mentees were presented with business card holders and “Smile” badges.

In his monthly address, CEO Jinwoo Kim stated, “The recent war between the U.S. and Iran has caused oil prices and the cost of daily necessities to rise, creating a difficult situation worldwide. Risks are always present, and now is a time when cost reduction is more urgent than ever. It is precisely during times like these that we must be even more frugal and focused on cost savings.

For several years now, we have been discussing the direction our company should take. 

In particular, during our 50th anniversary, I spoke about AI. The AI-related components business is a crucial opportunity to open up Samkwang’s future.

These are challenging fields, but if we succeed, we can achieve growth several times greater than our current levels. 

You must understand that the ship called Samkwang is continuing its voyage and continue to utilize AI. You must ask questions, find answers, apply them, and make them your own. Otherwise, you will inevitably fall behind.

We must also reduce inventory and ensure smooth internal circulation. It may be difficult at first, but with relentless effort, we will surely succeed.

We must not be satisfied with the current level of our 3S and 6S activities but continue to improve them. While confidence is necessary, the moment we become complacent, we will lose our competitiveness.
