Hello, My name is Minwook Jang, and I am in charge of Advanced/Process Quality at SAMKWANG’s Global Quality Team. I currently oversee overall process management, analyzing the root causes of defects when they occur and establishing and implementing corrective actions. Rather than simply solving problems, I also monitor data afterward to ensure that improvements are effectively maintained. In addition, through advanced quality activities, I review potential defect factors that may arise during the development stage to prevent the same issues from recurring in mass production. Rather than working with the mindset of “responding after a problem occurs,” I strive to work with the approach of “preparing in advance so that problems do not occur.” The most challenging part of my job is identifying subtle defects that are not easily visible and determining acceptable defect limits. Accurate judgment requires a deep understanding of product characteristics and standards. As I am still in the learning process, I feel the need to continue studying and gaining experience. I actively ask senior colleagues questions and review past cases and data to establish my own standards. At SAMKWANG, I aspire to become a trusted professional. When someone entrusts me with a task, I do not want to be someone who simply completes assigned work. Rather, I aim to fully understand the purpose behind the task and deliver results that meet expectations. To achieve this, I collaborate with various colleagues and learn from their different working styles and ways of thinking. Since everyone prioritizes different aspects of work, I believe understanding those differences is essential to achieving strong results. My hobbies are cooking and playing soccer. I enjoy watching cooking content on YouTube, and recently I really enjoyed watching Culinary Class Wars. After joining SAMKWANG, I started living on my own for the first time, which naturally led me to cook more often. These days, I try to prepare my own meals at home after work whenever possible. What began as cooking out of necessity has now become a meaningful hobby that helps me relieve stress and focus on myself. Trying new recipes and experiencing small achievements brings me great joy. Another hobby of mine is soccer. Back in my hometown, I was a member of a local soccer club for five years. While I have always loved the sport, what kept me playing consistently was the people I played with. After joining SAMKWANG, I had to leave the club, which was unfortunate. However, I learned that there is an in-house futsal club, and during my OJT training period, I was able to play again with colleagues I had trained with. Playing with familiar faces helped me adjust quickly and naturally connect with others in this new environment. Although I moved far from home to begin my professional life in a new place, continuing these hobbies with others has made each day feel exciting and full of anticipation rather than difficult. I hope to maintain a healthy balance between work and personal life, discover new aspects of myself here, and continue to grow. Ultimately, I will strive to ensure that my growth contributes to SAMKWANG’s development as well.
If I had to live in only one season: Winter, no question! The moment I saw this question, I chose winter without even a second of hesitation. I love the cozy feeling of winter and its calm, quiet atmosphere. Summer, on the other hand, is too hot and humid—it can be quite exhausting in many ways. These days, summer feels longer and especially hotter, which can be frustrating. But I remind myself that if I endure it while waiting for winter, the season will come again before I know it. In fact, when last winter began, I joined SAMKWANG, and I felt as if winter was the perfect season for me. Since my hometown is Gimhae, I rarely had the chance to see snow. After moving here, I experienced snowfall twice—including heavy snow—which made me incredibly happy.
