[Thursday, October 17, 2025] Samkwang Co., Ltd. Vietnam Business Division won the Gold Award at the 2025 Innovation Day event.

This event, hosted by Samsung Electronics Vietnam (SEVT), was organized to share 2025 innovation activities and achievements and to discover outstanding ideas. Key partners gathered to present their technological competitiveness and innovation cases.

Attending the event were Samkwang's Business Division Head Song Jong-deuk and Quality Team employees. Key representatives from Samsung Electronics (SEVT) included the Quality Team Leader, IQC and PQC Group Leaders, and the Purchasing Group Leader. Partner companies such as UIL, Se-Kyung, Intops, Mobase, Iren Tech, and Esconex also participated.

Samkwang's Vietnam Business Division received high praise at this event for presenting three cases of production process automation and quality innovation.

Key improvements included:

▲Establishing an automated assembly line for CAMERA DECO

▲In-house development of automated dimensional measurement inspection equipment

▲Automation improvements in functional inspection processes

These were recognized as exemplary cases achieving both enhanced production efficiency and stabilized quality.

Particularly, the case of establishing an automated camera module assembly line demonstrated the Vietnam Business Division's technological innovation capabilities. By automating the entire process, it achieved a defect rate reduction of approximately 5%, a production speed increase of about 1.6 times, and annual cost savings of approximately $170,000 (approximately 230 million KRW).

Division Head Song Jong-deuk stated, “This award is the result of all Samkwang Vietnam members continuously pursuing field-centered improvement activities. We will continue to expand quality innovation and smart factory construction across all global production bases.”

This award recognizes the ‘quality-focused management’ and ‘on-site innovation efforts’ consistently practiced by Samkwang Vietnam. Moving forward, Samkwang plans to concentrate on strengthening its quality competitiveness through field-centered improvement activities.
