[Thursday, October 2, 2025] Samkwang Co., Ltd. CEO Jinwoo Kim held a meeting at TMN's headquarters conference room in Tokyo, Japan, to strengthen technical and business cooperation related to payment terminals. Attending the meeting were CEO Jinwoo Kim, along with Global New Business Division Jongdoo Kim, Director Jeon Byeong-su, Pro Hyeongju Kim, and Pro Hansol Jo. TMN was represented by CEO Otaka and four executives and employees.

During the meeting, TMN expressed deep appreciation for Samkwang's swift and responsible response regarding quality issues with the UT-X20 terminal. They particularly noted, “Unlike other companies, Samkwang does not avoid problems but approaches them with a mindset to resolve them completely,” conveying high praise for Samkwang's quality competitiveness and reliability.

TMN is currently pursuing expanded sales of the UT-X20 terminal within Japan. Some customers are actively considering switching to Samkwang products due to reliability concerns regarding terminals made in China and Taiwan.

During this meeting, Samkwang introduced its new terminal development direction. TMN expressed its desire to “create products jointly planned by both companies in terms of design and performance, rather than simply supplying existing terminals.”

Discussions also covered technical support measures required for UT-X20-related certification procedures and maintenance.

The two companies agreed to hold regular technical meetings to develop new products tailored for the Japanese market. Samkwang plans to advance the joint development project through technical reviews aligned with this agreement.

This meeting further solidified the trust between Samkwang and TMN. Moving forward, they plan to maximize mutual synergy and jointly pursue enhanced competitiveness in the global market.
